The Hummer EV Pickup almost leaves us speechless, even in entry-level form. It weighs 9,000 pounds, for goodness' sake!
2. 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup 3X (Tri-Motor All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $104,650
- Range: 311 mi
- Battery Capacity: 170.0 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 350 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3 electric motors
- Horsepower: 830
- Torque: N/A
- Length: 216.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 8,500 lbs
- Payload Capacity: N/A
The tri-motor Hummer EV Pickup 3X comes standard with the same 170-kWh battery as the dual-motor 2X and squeezes three more miles of range out of it. That battery is known as the "20-module" pack, whereas the extended-range battery is the "24-module" version. Note the power output — although you'll often see the 3X associated with the magical 1,000-hp threshold, the 170-kWh battery doesn't have enough juice for that, even with an extra motor. So you're capped at 830 hp unless you spring for the bigger battery.
3. 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup 3X Extended Range (Tri-Motor All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $114,645
- Range: 381 mi
- Battery Capacity: 205.0 kWh
- Peak Charge Rate: 350 kW
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 3 electric motors
- Horsepower: 1,000
- Torque: N/A
- 0-60: 3.3 sec
- Length: 216.8 in
- Towing Capacity: 8,500 lbs
- Payload Capacity: N/A
Substitute the larger 24-module battery pack — only available on the tri-motor 3X — and you're looking at a hefty upgrade to 381 miles of range. You're also looking at another $9,995, but in a truck that's all about excess, what's another 10 grand?
