Which 2024 Audi Q5 Should I Buy?
MotorDonkey's proprietary vehicle data identifies every significant version of each model so that you can compare and decide. Ordered by price from low to high, here are the versions of the 2024 Audi Q5 that you need to be aware of, along with our expert analysis and recommendations.
Scroll to:
1. 2024 Audi Q5 40 TFSI Quattro (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $45,300
- MPG Combined: 26
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 201
- Torque: 236 lb-ft
- 0-60: 6.8 sec
- Weight: 4,079 lbs
- Length: 184.3 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,400 lbs
We're not sure how Audi can claim a sub-7-second sprint to 60 mph for the entry-level Q5, given that it only has 201 horsepower and it weighs two tons. If it were our Q5, we'd want the extra sauce that comes with the 45 TFSI version for a modest premium.
2. 2024 Audi Q5 45 TFSI Quattro (2.0T All-Wheel Drive)
- Base Price: $48,200
- MPG Combined: 24
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 261
- Torque: 273 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.7 sec
- Weight: 4,101 lbs
- Length: 184.3 in
- Towing Capacity: 4,400 lbs
The 45 TFSI variant will be the sweet spot for most Q5 shoppers, we suspect. Its 261-horsepower output is fully competitive with rival offerings, and it only costs a few grand more than the base 40 TFSI spec.
3. 2024 Audi Q5 55 TFSI Quattro (Plug-In Hybrid)
- Base Price: $58,500
- MPG Combined: 26
- EV Range: 22 mi
- Drive Type: All-wheel drive
- Engine: 2.0-liter inline-4
- Aspiration: Turbocharged
- Transmission: 7-speed automated manual
- Horsepower: 362
- Torque: 369 lb-ft
- 0-60: 5.0 sec
- Weight: 4,652 lbs
- Length: 184.3 in
- Towing Capacity: 2,000 lbs
With just 22 miles of electric range, the plug-in Q5 isn't the most impressive PHEV on the planet, but it is quite quick.
